Warm tops

Even though we are supposed to be in a heatwave I am feeling the cold in the mornings going to work. Because I live and cycle next to the river clyde its always windy and cold here. I have dug out a long sleeve coldgear under armour top I have and wear this under a dhb wind proof jacket in the mornings. Can anyone recommend some warm long sleeve tops I can wear in the mornings under my wind proof jacket to keep me warm.

Several layers is the way to go. I wear a Helly Hansen base layer helly hansen I got a twin pack (legs and top) for £30 from Cotswold Outdoors. Then I have a cheap karrimor long sleeve top, then a lightweight windproof jacket. I've been out in temperatures hovering around zero in that with no problems - other than cold feet, but that's a different story!

For riding in the cold i use the aldi compression long sleeve base layers, very good and cheap !

I have not tried these but everyone here has had good experiences with tenn ...

I bought this DHB long sleeve top. Add a waterproof jacket and its all you'll need for cold/wet rides

I have bought a pair of cycling shorts from Tenn before and i was really impressed with them. The long sleeve top seems like cracking value. Thanks for the link

I really fancy the top but would/do you wear a base layer beneath it?

Maybe some arm warmers with a short sleeved top, then you can keep cool on your way back home in the (relatively) warmer afternoon

I have some from Prendas and have found them to be nice and warm over here on the east coast ....

Layering is certainly the way to go, though.
