Wanted - Sunday morning cycling partner

Hi there,

thought id post a wanted.
Anyone in the coventry area up for sunday morning rides.
my friend has got a new girlie so hasnt been out much,

I am not immensley fit but am aiming to improve,
I started cycling again in Feb this year, after 4 miles at ave if 5mph was nearly dead. Now im up to 35 miles ave 14mph and getting better.

I want to get my first 50 miler out of the way by end of the year and it would be nice to have some company whilst doing that one.

I come from Coventry, but  God, I'v a problem seeing what Globalti is on about!

BTW Phil, I might be down in Coventry in early November and I have a bike down there. I'm not sure that I've have enough time on a Sunday to do 50 miles, but I could certainly do 25-30. I would be setting off from Coundon Road and ending up in Holbrooks, if that would be any good to you? I usually ride up to the Corley Moor, Fillongley area. If you are interested, let me know and I'll arrange something with you.

As for Horses I have access to some, but i dont really like to ride horses. prefer wheels and engines

Another option would be to find out if theres a cycle touring club in your area.They would probably do Sunday morning rides at a pace you would be ok with.

Coventry CTC Just googled this one if your interested.

In the club I belong to people who dont want to do the full ride often arrange to meet or leave the ride part way, I imagine most clubs would allow this especially for new members building up their legs.

im on the far side of rugby, hillmorton area. may be able to drive over and park up once a month. some nice roads around coombe Abbey, did the BHF cov bike ride from there two years ago. isn't coombe Abbey parking a bit pricey these days ??
