After our horrible issues with the Insurance industry following the no-fault accident which led to our VW Camper Van being written off. We have decided we can't have such financial exposure again. Furthermore even to buy the same price van would be more notably more expensive due to higher interest rates and insurance is skyrocketing to - and with a VW camper you have fewer brokers which will take them on.
So, the dream was short-lived. We'll down-size our ambitions and have to downsize our Caravan all cos of some inattentive fckr on an empty motorway and an appalling insurance industry.
In truth, we don't 'need' a campervan as we will have a smaller Caravan, BUT, there are occasions where having a vehicle for me to sleep-in is valuable. So we're contemplating either a Caddy/Torneo Maxi lwb (Yes, am aware there's a Caddy California Camper as well - but it's less flexible for 'van/doggy* duties).
Both will tow up to 1500kg, both are readily sleep-innable, have roof-bars, removable seating and both come with a 2L 122 bhp diesel with DSG Auto which would be our choice.
So, any thoughts feedback, alternatives?
