Looks like they are a decent tyre, according to the source I always reference:

I'm a fan of Vittoria tyres, although I would question spending £37 per tyre when Vittoria do a cracking tyre for 25 odd quid a pair in the Rubino Folding 3.

Can get the wired Rubino (23mm IIRC) for £6.50 at Ribble (perhaps even with another 20% off if promotion still running)

Thanks everyone. I have ordered a pair so I'll change the title of the thread in due course and offer a review.

I was given a pair of these to test by Vittoria (via one of their sponsored riders) and have to say they have been superb. Very little wear, confidence inspiring grip in wet and dry, and they look great with tan sidewalls (especially with deep section carbon rims, if that is your thing). Puncturewise, difficult to quantify, I've had one only in months of riding. When (if?) they wear out I'll deffo be buying some more.

I did get the above tyres and have ridden them a few times. Here are my initial thoughts.

Before I stripped off the old tyres, I ran a micrometer over them and then did the same once I had fitted the new ones.

Specialized Touring II 700 x 28C. Max Width 23.5mm Height 26mm

Vittoria Corsa 700 x 25C. Max Width 24mm Height 25mm

These are fully inflated measurements. The height was from the rim to the wearing surface.

Before I could measure them, I had to get them on the rims! I have struggled with folding tyres before now so I was fully tooled up with all manner of plastic and metal tyre levers. As it turned out, I needn't have bothered.

These are a one tyre lever tyre when measured on the manatee pain in the rear spectrum. I could probably have got them on without but I love my thumbs! I should imagine next time they will go on without having to use levers.

The rims are Mavic Open 4CD

How do they ride? Very nicely. They feel faster than what was on there but not hugely so. The roads I typically ride on vary between OK and total rubbish. I will report back later in the year! I will also report back on how they do with the mudguards. The old tyres almost rubbed. It was so close I had to trim the guard at the front.
