Whilst rummaging in a long-forgotten cupboard in my late father-in-law's garage, I discovered these in a Spare Parts Tin. I think they're wonderful.

Actually, I meant to ask folks if they know how old they are - the 'Spare Tins' were giant skimmed milk tins that looked from the fifties or early sixties.

The Dunlop and Weldtite kits were around in the sixties and probably seventies too.

Yep, I was selling the Dunlop tins well into the 70's.

I still use this on solo rides. It has quick links, cleat bolts and such like, padded out with a bit of sponge (not the cake!) to stop it rattling.

I had my Dunlop tin for years. Mislaid it about 3 years ago and have had a nasty plastic thing since. Not single use plastic, I have used it a few times. I might have a squint on some selling sites to see if I can find another tin.
Your find has made me come over all nostalgic.
