Anybody know anything about this bike? year?? Has a front rod brake and looks all original.28"..says it's an Original GORCO Dortmund... made in Germany. Any value to it?

Never heard of the make but looks to be commuter/town bike from the sixties. Step through frame. Nice condition but little value to it. Could be pressed into service with very little work.What do you intend to do with it?
@Andy in Germany works with these types and may have some better information for you.
 
As @cyclops says, it's a lovely bike but unlikely to fetch a lot of money. In that era there were lots of little workshops in German cities and towns, either making or adapting similar bikes and I've got several 'local' versions in the storeroom at the moment, although to be fair none in original condition.

Then I'll probably sell it. I have no use for it but thought it sure was cool. First time Ive5 seen a rod brake..

Good for you. That rust should come off the rims with some vinegar and wire wool. Check the tyres for signs of perishing but they look fine in the pics. Bit of oil on the chain, air in the tyres and off you go.
