just read a follow up article in express and star about a mountain biker knocked off his bike in stourport Monday and died yesterday in hospital, makes you realise we should all be very aware on the road, and in case anyone does know of him on the forum deepest regrets

Sad news, but why should something make us realise to be aware, we should be anyway.

On a similar note I passed an accident scene on Loampit Vale in Lewisham yesterday. Looked to be a lady unconscious on the floor with her bike. Hoping she was ok too.

I came through there about 8am. It looked like it had happened mere moments before. There were no emergency services on the scene at that time. It was on the junction with Jerrard Street which is one way, so I assume the car must have turned left across her path.

I didn't stop as there was already a small crowd gathering and there wasn't much I could do to help especially since I didn't see it. Didn't stop me thinking about it for most of the morning though - poor lady.
