Are we all ok? or has everyone been washed away by a tsunami caused by our crappy weather?

I'm mostly riding Cannock blue trails this week - sick of cleaning the mud out of my chain off the reds...

Here for rides.
Went out for a local ride y'day on the local FC plantation after my planned ride fell through as everyone else cried off. It wasn't much fun. Just a slog through mud that was simultaneously sticky as hell and slippery as flip. Not much fun tbh.

Sorry to say when I got back into cycling I turned to the dark side and bought a road bike tbh one of the reasons being couldn't face all the mud you have to cleaning it off It nacks all your nice shiny new kit but now I have been riding agen for a while and an licking the road bike it doesn't compare to sunny days single track and good friends to ride with . Maybe I need to get them forks serviced

Did 10 miles of local track and trails yesterday with the dogs in tow. Didnt stop raining. We were all covered in mud. Was a brilliant and very enjoyable ride!

Sherwood rode pretty well on Saturday. Bit muddy in places, but otherwise pretty busy. Stand by for a planned pootle.... As long as I'm not hospital visiting I'll plan a peak district route....about 20 km and let folk know. About time we stopped making excuses!

Rode Grizedale and Whinlatter on Friday in the sunshine (yes i remembered what it looks like, lol) The conditions were brilliant in Grizedale, where as Whinlatter had lots of snow and ice higher up which was sketchy .... But was good not to be covered in thick mud ... Roll on spring

Those pictures are stunning. I have GOT to get me a mountain bike. Road riding's great, but more and more some days I find myself quite liking the idea of getting off of it and on to some trails instead.

get a hybrid and change the tyres over for winter (knobblies), then back to all terrain/road in the spring summer.

Cheers - off road is certainly challenging, but on days like yesterday - with the whole forest and trails to myself - very very rewarding too. Off up there again shortly.
