I never use wiggle anymore since i paid for express delivery on part they had in stock and they did not even pick it for nearly a week, shoddy and they are not any cheaper than anywhere else.
Lost customer.
You can please all of the people some of the time, some of the people all the time, but not all the people all the time, or so they say. Although
Wiggle have please me every single time I've used them.
No business is ever going to have a 100% hit rate on customer service as there will always be a few patrons whose expectations are simply over ambitious, (I'm not saything this is you cyberknight). You must also bear in mind, they have to rely on postal services to get your items to you, and if the postal service fails, it's the online company that gets the bad press. You never get ayone saying,
"Hey, I ordered a such and such from Wiggle,
CRC, etc, the online experience was great, but the courier failed to deliver on time, aren't Wiggle, CRC, etc a bunch of to$$ers?", and therein lies a huge part of the problem.
Is it really the online retailer that has let you down, or is it the third party courier company? I know the above example says they didn't pick the part for a week, but this is evidently an exceptionally rare instance. However, your sweeping statement that, "they are not any cheaper than anywhere else" is clearly a knee jerk reaction and is not based on fact as they clearly are cheaper on many, many lines, just perhaps not the ones you wanted.
I have never had anything but exlempary service from Wiggle having spent around £5-6k over the last few years.
I've used other sites too, CRC, Merlin, Winstanleys,
Ribble etc, etc and haven't had any problems with these either.
For the record, I've never paid for express delivery from Wiggle, as I've never fet the need to. In over 95 % of cases, I've alwasy received my item(s) within 48 hours depending on what time of day I ordered them, and usually always with Haribo or gels/bars, (but never a keyring!)
Clearly anyone who has a problem with any major online player is in a distinct minority, and it's therefore a shame to exclude them from your purchasing options based on one less than perfect experience, especially one that very possibly was caused not by the company themselves, but by the delivery company they used.
