Starting and finishing in Cardiff city centre on 14 June 2015 Velothon Wales combines a completely closed roads sportive alongside a UCI sanctioned professional race.
Riders will have the unique opportunity to feel what it's like to be a pro cyclists, riding the same finish line as elite riders, enjoying the same crowd atmosphere and receiving the same services and benefits afforded to elite riders, such as:
· completely closed roads
· professional timing
· support along the route (food and water stations, emergency vehicles)
· mechanical service stations and bike servicing
Nearly 15,000 people have already registered but you can still join and take part in this amazing cycling experience with Breast Cancer Care.
We are the only UK-wide charity providing specialist support and tailored information for anyone affected by breast cancer. Our clinical expertise and emotional support network help thousands of people find a way to live with, through and beyond breast cancer.
To register for a place visit www.breastcancercare.org.uk/velothonwales. Choose your distance (120km or 50km) and complete the one-off £33 registration fee payment. As a charity we ask that you pledge to raise £350 in sponsorship - we are here to help you every step of the way.
We'll immediately send your our welcome pack with tips on how to get your training and fundraising started. We'll provide ongoing advice and information about the event, a Breast Cancer Care cycling jersey, a spot along the route for family and friends to watch on the day, big cheers and much needed refreshments after the race.
We also welcome participants who have already secured a place and who would like to join the team and raise money for Breast Cancer Care.
