Anyone use them?

With too much time on my hands at present I have been searching the internet for things to buy and decided I needed fast new tyres, and stumbled across Veloflex.

They seem remarkably well thought of, and great value for money given that they are handmade.

I'd never heard of them until a few days ago

Got 'em on my race bike. They're fantastic.

Buggers to fit, mind.

Have been using them for the last two years - the Black Records (20mm) are lightweight have a slightly lower profile than say Michelin Pro's making them great for flat tarmac type roads but not so good on bad roads. Pumped up to the max they will make the rim sing like no other clincher.

They wear quite quickly compared to most other tyres and have less puncture protection to save weight.

The winter type ( I used the Pave) are a tad heavier and have a bigger profile in order to deal with the bad roads.

I have gone back to the Pro 3's all year round now now as the roads are still crap from last winter but would use the Veloflex's if I was TT'ing on a main road.

I've used both the Veloflex Carbon and Record tubulars on my TT bike. The Record was very lightweight and gave up the ghost pretty quickly which I was upset about because it was expensive. The Carbon is a bit more robust and took a lot more batterings, but sadly went the same way. Tubs can be an expensive necessity.

I was thinking of getting some for my TT bike...not sure which ones (clinchers rather than tubs) but it looks as if Record 20 on front and Master 22 on rear might work.

How long did they last as a matter of interest - I got 300 miles out of my rear Record (but it was pretty much bare all round by that stage!)

Pavé. Had them on there for 1300km and have had one puncture. No complaints.

Thanks.

...and I have just discovered the Pave has been renamed as Master. I was wondering why it was so difficult finding Pave that were not yellow or blue...
