I need to buy a pair of shifters, whats the difference between (10s) Veloce and Centaur apart from the £35 difference in price (Ribble). Cheers!
I can't help you with a quick answer but you can go to the Campag website and download the exploded diagrams of both. That may reveal something obvious or not. At the higher end there is a difference in that the lever's swivel action is supported by ball bearings and lower end by bushes, but I don't know if that is the case with your two options. The mechanics will be exactly the same. I used to buy ratchet springs and rings to repair these things and it was all the same. No differentiation. However, the materials differ quite a bit. Some titanium, steel, die-cast zinc and composites are interchanged to come up with the various ranges.

Thanks, Looked at the diagrams can't see any difference between the two even the part numbers for the main shifter body is the same. Might as well stick with Veloce.
