Hi there Lads & lasses , after a bit of advice if anyone can help.
After damaging one of my shifters in an accident I was thinking of replacing my Shimano 2300 levers with Campag Veloce . I've looked on the internet including cycle chat & it seems it can be done . My dilemma is that on Ribble's site there is a double that is triple compatible & a triple specific version. Will both work or am I better just going for the triple . Cheers :-)

No issue with the rear, and either should be fine with a double chainset (by letting the L limit screw set the inner ring position and leaving the cable a little slack there). But it is going to be more difficult with a triple because Campag front cable pull is greater than Shimano's for road fd, and these lower groups don't have as much trim control as the Ultrashift in higher groups.

Cheers Recordace , my bikes group set is pretty much all Shimano 2300 & is an 8 speed triple . I was hoping this would work

Sorry , must have caught "post reply " by mistake . As I was saying I was hoping this would work as I upgraded the chain set , cassette & chain to better versions of the same components the summer gone & dont really want to buy 2300 levers again .
