Veloce equipped

In Chichetser today there is a bike outside the Field and Trek shop, as Muddy Fox "Veloce"

The suggestion is that it is Campag equipped, but there is only cheap Shimano and other bottom of the range kit.

Coincidence or misleading...

Coincidence, IMO. As Campag used a Roman word to name their kit, it is unlikely that no-one else in hte past 2,000 years has used the same word for stuff they want to suggest is quick.

Veloce = fast, quick, speedy, in Italian. Not Campag's exclusive property. Neither are Record, Chorus, Centaur, Mirage or Xenon ('a colorless odorless inert gas occurring in the earth's atmosphere in trace amounts'). Even so, I agree it is a bit naughty - but if you buy a £250 (new) bike, with downtube shifters, expecting it to be full Campag, maybe you deserve what you get ........
