I think @ianrauk can help you with that. He told me how to do it a while ago but I still don't get round to do it. His bike looks great without the decals.

Hi @maroon
You can remove the decals using Acetone either bought from your local chemist (If they have stock that is - and they do ask what you will use it for) or you can buy online. I bought from Amazon, cost's about £3.00 for half litre, and that is more then you would need.

So once you have the Acetone, get yourself some kitchen Roll. Soak in Acetone, apply to the decal and hold down for a couple of minutes then start to wipe. The transfers will then start to lift.

And thanks @RRSODL the bike does look very nice sans decals

If you change your mind and want to put decals back on Van Nich do sell them on their webpage.

It's as good as I'd hoped to be honest I'm scared to leave it chained anywhere outside, which kinda spoils the enjoyment of owning it.
Can this technique be used with any frame material?
Only if you aren't attached to the pain scheme... acetone is a rather good solvent, and will remove lacquer from carbon frames. Make sure you don't get it on any plastic part either if you don't want it replaced.
