I'll be there. On for the long route but form has waned this last month or so due, like you, to a stinking cold. Off to the mother in laws afterwards so all in all quite a challenging day....
Just got back, lovely ride, lovely unexpected weather, who's idea was it to call Hubbards Hill Victory Hill ? Nice sting in the tail, should have looked at the map closer I suppose, still, only did the short route so not too bad, cracking bit of food after too, good day.
Just seen that I got DQ'd for jumping down to the short route, bit harsh, thought they would at least just post a time, so now don't even know what time I did the short course in. Not that bothered as I felt a bit s**t on the day but still took my money same as everyone else, has anyone else had any experiences like this, is that what normally happens ?

Is anyone else planning to do the Longest Day on 10.4.11? I'm down for the 180km but do not know anyone taking part. Looking to do this at a modest 15-16mph, but would like to find a like-minded group.

Hutch that is poor to DQ you.
I must say, I felt like jumping down myself. However, I had used the event as a fundraiser and simply had to push on to the end when I was feeling totally dead on my feet. Still, I managed to raise £1655 for my children's school.
Finished in 8 hr 13 min.
