Can anyone help me here.I have just bought a 2009 claude butler urban 300
it is black with a gold flash and it has a fixed seat post.
The thing is on every picture of this model iv,e seen online the seat is suspension and the bke has a red flash.
My bike matches the spec in every other way apart from the seat post.
Are these models standered or do they vary.
cheers.

There's usually something in the small print saying specs can vary. Any bike I've had that had a suspension post I've ditched it and went for fixed anyway. If you bought the bike from a reputable shop I wouldn't worry.

rael,
I think it is how HLaB described: "manufacturers reserve the right etc.etc..........."

I bought an Urban 300 about 3 years ago now. First thing I did was to take the bouncy seatpost off

You can have mine if you really want it - but seriously, I wouldn't bother. One of the most important set-up dimensions on a bike is the saddle height relative to the pedal. A few millimetres either way can make a lot of difference. How the heck do you set it properly when it is a moving item?

You're better off without it ;)

Gary.
