Hi Guys

wondering if you could help i am mainly curious if this is possible. I have Tiagra ST-4500 shifters, I have a 105 rear derailleur and a tiagra front derailleur. If i was to upgrade to 10 speed would my shifters, and front derailleur be compatible?

Cheers

No. You'd need to change to 10 speed shifters as well.

The rear dérailleur will be fine but you will prob need to change to a 10spd front mech too plus a new chain and cassette (obviously).

Not sure about the chain set, hear this may be necessary too but someone else will be along to confirm.

New shifters as already said, front and rear mech generally ok - as will be the chain set - I'm assuming you have a 9 speed set up.- newer components are generally 10spd anyway - they just work fine with 9 speed too.
I did this myself - purely because my shifter broke after a crash - what I bought was new shifters, and new rear cassette oh and changed the cables at the same time and a new 10spd chain. Works fine. I don't think I would go to 10 speed just for the sake of it in fact I prefer my commuter to be 9 speed for the extra chain life I get from the slightly wider chain.
