Hi,

I commute on a Giant Hybrid with 700 x 35C tires, but the long commute (35 miles all in) means I am looking for ways to improve the ride. I have removed the suspension post, and want to change tires. What would be the quickest tires I can use without changing rims?

Cheers

depends how wide your rims are, really.

If you're not going off-road then stick to road tyres.

I managed to find Conti GP4000S' at around the £23 mark. They're great tyres and ,so far , have been excellent at repelling the p**cture fairy. Check the Sheldon Brown link to see if they'll fit on your rims. My change was from 28s to 23s.

I have these.
They are extremely good imo for the price. Very good rolling resistance and seem to be great at repelling bit's of glass, flint and other crap on my commute. Tried Gatorskins and Marathons, still had punctures, so thought I should go down the cheaper route. Have had now for a couple of months and no p*******s so far (touches wood, rubs lucky rabbit foot, throws salt etc etc)
