Upgrading Giant Defy 4 (2010) Brakes

Hi guys, first ride back out this year and I remember how naff the standard brakes on my defy 4 are!
I upgraded the pads to these last year:

made a bit of a difference, but still struggle to slow down on some descents.

So looking at upgrading the calipers now, got £100 to play with, but the reach seems to be around the 55mm mark, so what would you recommend?
And also, does anyone know if I can fit Koolstops in my brake holders?

Yes, you can fit Koolstops, I run them in mine.

Sorry, no idea on brake recommendations but do agree that the stock ones are awful. I bought a set off of an old Trek (1.5 I think) which looked exactly the same but were a lot more powerful.
