Well, having only had my new bike for just over a month it's safe to say i've caught the bug. Infact, i think i'm starting to take it a bit too serious to be honest having been out on some very early morning rides over the past couple of weeks.

I'm now looking at ways in which i can upgrade some of the components on my bike which is a Bianchi B4P 1885 Veloce. I'm using the bike for commuting as well as club rides and looking at getting involved in time trialling when the season next begins so i was thinking of getting some clip on aero bars or possibly investing in some half decent wheels.

Can anyone tell me whether or not TT wheels would be alright to use for my normal commute? I've been looking at a Planet X Carbon wheelset and along with a couple of others.

Also, i've been looking at both clip on aeros as well as the full aero handlebars with bar end changers. Is there a significant different in the riding position from that of the drop down bars?

Nope - get a spare set of wheels for racing and some top tyres - quick change over, but you might need to slightly 'trim' the rear mech, if the hubs are a different make - the sprockets may be a mm or less out.

I had spare TT wheels as well as 'training wheels'.....and that wasn't on the training bike.....you'll soon get different bikes as well.

Just swap the wheels over when needed.
