Did you spot an 'Escape 2' by any chance Barry

Called into halfords and had a look at the Boardman hybrid comp bike, I must say I`m impressed, The guy in the shop got it down from the stand and let me sit on it, very nice indeed except for that saddle! a bit to narrow and hard for my bony bottom apart from that its nice and light and feels well made, dont think I`ll get £499 past the wife though.

Hi all,
Firstly thanks for all the replies to this thread, your advice and pointers have been very helpful, so much so that I am now the proud owner of a brand new Giant Escape 2 (2012 model).

After many phone calls and searching I finally tracked one down at Ron Spencer's in Warrington, got a great deal as well, the guy knocked me sixty quid off the retail price and had it ready to go in two hours.
