Upgrade

Hi all,
Started cycling last year mainly for health reasons and I`m really enjoying it.

The bike I currently have id a 'Claude Butler' Windermere hybrid which is a bit heavy but a nice cycle all the same.

I`m looking to upgrade as my son needs a cycle to travel to and fro to University so I`ve told him he can have the CB and I`ll get a new one

I`ve been looking at the 'Giant' range, in-particular the Escape 2 Urban , The problem is! no cycle shops in my area has one in stock to look at, (to order only) so my question is, has anybody got one of these bikes and if so what do you think it ?.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Why are shops and/or suppliers so unwilling to provide a sale or return basis. All it costs them is a bit of carriage and then not even that most times. It's as if they have no faith in the products sometimes. Its just crap service.

I've seen pretty much all the Escapes in the local Giant Store, they're all good in their own metier.

Correct I couldn't agree more.

It isn't, but there are two branches in Liverpool... But I think Ron Spencer Cycles in north Warrington is a Giant dealer.

hi cliff thatto heath cycles stock the giant range all so winstanleys in wigan have some nice bikes both are on line

the guys at winstanleys are v good and spend as much time as you want ive just bought some assos stuff of them took time to get it right as its not the cheepest stuff

FYI, Winstanleys is basically just a warehouse, they don't have much of a shop front as such.

You can go there, buy I'd advise calling them first so they can make sure the bike you are interested in is available for viewing.

Otherwise even if they have it in stock, (which is hit and miss with them), it will be 'flat packed' in a box in the warehouse.
