I'm running Giant Flatguards at the moment but would like to up grade very soon as the old tyres are nearly worn out, so would the Gatorskin folding or the Continental 4000 be an improvement... I would like a good rolling tyre?

Cheers.

4000's are race tyres, gators training tyre. You could also consider Conti 4 Seasons - were on offer at Cycle Surgery a day or two ago for £39 for two (I ordered them - bargain) 4 Seasons are very good all round tyre.

+1 for these. Get the 28mm (they're only 25's in reality.)

A more superb tyre I've yet to find, they feel nicer even than my 4000s's on the roadie.

I'm running mitch Krylion Carbons on my Kinesis and they are the best all round tyres I've had (grip/roll/p'ture protection/wear) and are cheaper than the conti's too normally and over the life of the tyres a lot cheaper. They can be hard to get old of though, I've bought their successors (Pro 4 Endurance) for spares, I'm still waiting for the Kyrlion to wear out though.
