I'm looking to upgrade my hybrid, currently in the process of sanding and repainting.
Then i'd like to add new wheels/tyres that are a little more commute friendly (currently 700c road which i find too thin for me and struggle with punctures, flats, low grip) and if not too expensive i'd like to add disc brakes.

Any suggestions for the wheels/tyres/brakes?

Thanks

28or 32mm Schwalbe Marathon (or M+) tyres, as for brakes, what are fitted now?

What's the bike? 28 or 32mm tyres should fit most hybrids at a minimum assuming the wheels will take them

Try fitting new pads to the V-brakes, Lee Chi aren't the best but they're a lot better than the pressed steel 'cheapo' ones.

OK looks like i'm stuck with regular brakes, although they're the one part which are mechanically not in the best shape and a little rusted.

The frame is wide enough for 32mm tyres but not sure about the rims, anyone know if its fine for ambrosia ws 23 rims?

thanks

Actually, only one wheel is ambrosio ws 23, the other is a stock replacement after theft. So ideally i'd like a pair of replacement wheels, and black.

See if something like a 28mm vittoria Rubino tyre is better. £15 a tyre on offer from Evans. And try some koolstop brake pads. Also make sure the rim braking surface is kept really clean. Baby wipes great for this
