started a new touring bike project this weekend and i have manged to source most of the parts i need (not purchased yet mind) but seem to be having problems getting the correct derailer for it.I am looking for a 7 speed derailer for it,i hope the picture of the carrier can be seen as this is what it needs to fit. there is a number on it which i believe is the frame number, which is as follows,d40802103, thanks for your time, cycleruk

7/8/9 speed rear mechs will all run with the 7 speed set up, it's not a case of certain speeds being particular to a type of derailuer hanger.

Shimano Deore can be had for nearly £20 if you shop around.
