I don't know how long the headline will last in its current form on this page but I have to say that that cat does not look ready for his apparent fate.

If I were that cat, I would be looking for a different owner. The cat goes missing and she doesn't think to link it to the sofa she has just had taken away. And she can presumably afford the finance for a new sofa but wants to raise the money for the operation that the cat needs by crowd-funding.
