Unbelievable how riding a bike with no rack,panniers,mudguards , lights airzound etc etc is a lot more fun than lugging all the crap essentials you need for commuting.

I had forgotten how much fun cycling can really be

Most entry level bikes are like that and I don't think they'd be nearly as much fun!

I rarely ride without the commuting luggage but it's very nice when I do. Even on forum rides I'll have saddle bag, bar bag, lights (for emergency) etc.
Stripped it all the other week to take it to the lbs and forgot how light it was unloaded
