Ok I'm new here and this is probably a daft one, but I recently got new tyres for my GT bike and I thought they were the right size, but I can't seem to inflate them evenly...like the tyres sits closer to the rims in places. Is this under inflation, or could they be an incompatible size? I've checked to see if the inner-tubes are trapped but this doesn't seem to be the case :sun:

are the tyres suitable for running tubeless. i suspect so. you need to wipe a little washing up liquid around the bead. it is designed to fit v v snuggly. the lubrication just enables it to sit in the rim better. inflate quite high and you should hear the tyre pop into place. then deflate to reg running psi. i ahve the smae prob. esp if you punct&^e whislt on the ridwe.

Have something similar using Jones TR's. If you're at home, use a track pump up to 60psi, ride up and down the road a bit then deflate and reinflate to your desired pressure. Should be OK, if not deflate until soft'ish and then roll the tyre with your hands where the bead in uneven.

Out on the trail just change the tube and reinflate the best you can until you get home. It'll not make any difference, just look like the wheel has a slight buckle.
