Uneven bottom bracket shell

Hi, swapping my press fit bottom bracket on my cube today, my mechanic took this picture of uneven shell surface on the drive side. Frame is just out of warranty. Any thoughts or suggestions ?

Poor bottom bracket shells are very, very common and a huge problem. It causes clicking and creaking and, prematurely reduces BB bearing life. Carbon frames are the worst in that regard. You can't do much about that shell of yours, live with it or buy a quality shell insert that keeps things all squared up.

I don't know how responsive Cube are to their customers but you have nothing to lose by making a complaint. Tell them you expect them to compensate you for the premature need to replace the BB.

Unfortunately I think you are just going to have to live with it, however if you bought it new you could still reject it on the basis that when sold to you it was “not of merchantable quality” as that fault was there from new and was not caused by wear and tear. As Cube are a reasonably large organisation you may get lucky.
