Yes

and when youve warmed up do you roll them down ?

No, because that looks a bit odd (but it's OK to do this with arm warmers)

doesnt that look a bit odd ?

Yes, see above.

or do you have to stop, take your shoes off, remove the legwarmers then put your shoes back on ?

S'right.

well how are you supposed to know these things ?

I don't know. Maybe we need a sticky on road cycling etiquette (I'm still not sure if it is acceptable to have a leather saddle fitted to a carbon fibre bike, not that I have either)

Even with zips I cannot see the point in trying to put them on or take them off over your shoes!! Too many things on the shoes to snag them on...even if they were the width of pillow cases.

Long socks, brains of Britain ;0) Bobbysocks wouldn't be much use as leg warmers but long, thick, woolly socks are just fine.

Although I do have short legs, a big nose and tiny penis.

well the reason you put them on in the first place is to keep your legs warm ,so why take them off during a spin but if you are going to take them off then stop and do it ,and please dont roll them to your socks you will look like a wright fred.

I think it's more in reference to long rides where the temperature can change quite a bit from say 8am to 2pm!
