Ive had to buy a new Bontrager wheel and A Vredestein tyre, there both identical to what i had before, but for the life of me i cant get the last part over the lip.
i know it can be tight but this is a joke, i tried using a lever but that makes it harder.

Any ideas.

Talc the tube and inside of tyre. Take them off first.

As what Fossy said.
Talk.
Start at the valve end and work your way round. (You may need to push the valve in to get the tyre seated properly)(and others may say start other side). Using both hands working your way round the tyre/rim, pushing the tyre bead into the rim well. This will give you some more leeway to get the tyre on.

Take your time. When you get to the last few inches just concentrate on doing 3 or 4 mm at a time. You may find that the sweet spot is only 2 or 3 cm away but it is impossible to do it all at once.

Get the tyre nice and warm. Then use both thumbs, close your eyes, ignore the excruciating pain and force it onto the rim. Smile.
How do i warm the tyre up ?

Put the oven on, with the door open, and stand in the heat with the tyre, We're not looking for melted rubber here, just a tiny bit of expansion and extra suppleness.
