Ultegra spd-sl pedal bearings

Hi guys - I'm 99% certain that the bearings on my ultegra pedals are buggered (esp the r/hand one) it's creaking, tapping, clicking and some play has developed around the axle.

Does anyone know if.....

a) they can be serviced/bearings changed
where can I get spares from

I've tried my LBS (County Cycles in Cross Hands) - they aren't sure if spares are available, so will need to investigate. They're currently snowed under with work, poor sods, so I'll have to wait - fair enough.

CC are normally very good indeed so no complaints there (and they know I have spare pedals)

and I've tried t'internet to look for spares/tools etc to no avail

please help.................

Holy Crapoli!

I've just found an exploded diagram of one of my pedals. It uses 62 - yes 62 ball bearings! They must be microscopic.............
