Hi,
Just adjusted my disk brakes for the first time since buying the bike. Thought I’d share the fact that I found a rubber dust cap in my front brake caliper. I ride very aggressive terrain on my cx bike and the disks are heavily perforated. I believe the cap had shaken loose from the caliper and become wedged inbetween the pads making them rub continuously and with the rotor.
If you have problems with your disk brakes check there isn’t any large debris Inside the caliper before loosening mounting bolts, it could save you a lot of time.
Thought I’d share, anybody else had a similar problem?
