Ultegra 6500 caliper strip

I have pinched a set of Ultegra 6500 calipers off my old bike but they need a bit of strip down and rebuild as they have been sat outside for about 6 years. I can see how everything comes apart except for the cam on the part that grips the cable to enable the wheel to be removed. I have removed the screw through the middle but cant see how the two halves seperate. Do I just need a bit of brute force to get them apart?

I think that they were made extremely tight fitting - can you just spray some WD40 in between?

Indeed it does. Thanks for that. I now know I can just use a little more brute force and it will come apart! I had an exploded view of a later caliper, but it did not have an exploded view of the part I needed. Many thanks.
