Looking for two new tyres, and considering Continental Tourride Reflex for £13 each.I don't cover a lot of miles on my Hybrid, but I'm out every day probably 5-6 miles and my main concern is puncture protection. Any one used these or similar. Opinions - suggestions would be appreciated.

I use TourRide on my knockabout bike and my brother and sister have them on their bikes too. I like them a lot for an inexpensive tyre. They are pretty puncture resistant until the tread is well worn (expect to get 4-5000 miles out of them), have enough tread to work on or off road and roll reasonably quick.

For better puncture resistance I'd suggest Schwalbe Marathon or Marathon Plus, but they cost more

Gatorskins, I keep saying this, front nearly 8,000 miles puncture free, rear had two pinch punctures, the last dented my rim and took a chunk of rubber out of the tyre, but didn't puncture it. approx £22-25 and I reckon I still have a few thou left on the front, best tyres I have had.

Hi,

Not remotely enough information to suggest good / better alternatives.

However on the road Schwalbe City Jets are hard to beat for great
puncture protection, and good performance, but don't off road.

rgds, sreten.

I also like the Michelin City, at the prices you can get them.
They do a bit of offroad better than the City Jets.

Think I'll settle for the TourRide if as mentioned I can maybe expect 4-5000 miles out of them for £13 each and cost being a issue at the moment these will fit he bill. Thanks for your input, much appreciated.

I've also used TourRide's for the same purpose - a hybrid that doesn't see much mileage but requires puncture resistance. They seem to fit the bill nicely, especially for the price!
