Tyred of snow

Whilst in the grip of all this snow I cant ride my usual classic road machines out and about.
Been using my faithful Univega Alpina 500 fitted with Mountain King 2.4s. These really grip in this snowy weather, hasn't put a wheel wrong!

Rim Brakes ? BRAVE Man, My rear Hydrauic FROZE up after 12 canal miles this morning, I got a little scared when I went to use it, only to find it didnt want to play out !!!!!!!

Keep it simple in seriously cold conditions. Rim brakes absolutely - anything hydraulic, you likely to have problems.

Er... here's my Global complete with original Hope minis, which have been working impeccably in the cold. Those 2" Specialized Fast Traks are the biz on snow and ice, only feeling sketchy when crossing wheel tracks obliquely.
