I have a vintage English bicycle from 1968 which has the tyre size of 26 x 1 1/4. The tyre says to fit rim E1 EAI. No other information.
This tyre size is very rare to get nowadays. Is it possible to fit the now widely available tyre & tube of size 26 x 1 3/8 ?
Will tyres advertised as 26 x 1 3/8 - 1 1/4 fit ?
26 x 1 1/4 ( 32 - 597 )
26 x 1 3/8 ( 37 - 590 )
Thanks

St John St Cycles has 32 - 597 tyres at £10 each.

A 590 tyre will not go on a rim designed for 597 tyres.
