I am looking at buying some new tyre's for my Specialized Secteur and I am considering changing from a 700 x 25c to a 700 x 23c profile.

Has anyone else done this or does anyone forsee any problems with making this change

As long as I breathe, I attack.
No problems at all although 25 mm are supposed to offer a bit more comfy ride.

I would be surprised if you noticed any difference at such a small change.
Having had the same bike, there won't be any problems.

Thanks for the replies.
I have to agree with ianruk that I do not see there being much difference in the comfort of the ride however, I do think that moving to a 23mm tyre will offer more choice of tyre and perhaps slightly quicker handling.

Any difference will be marginal. The current trend is to do the opposite, even going up too 28mm if there is enough clearance, since the thinking is that you can run the wider tyre at a lower pressure for more comfort at no cost to rolling resistance or roadholding. There should be more grip with more rubber on the road.
