Hi all, these are only 1 month old and noticed this split after a ride today...see pic. Is this dangerous and if so do you reckon it would be something I could get a free replacement for from the shop I got it from? Store terms say no refunds for things that have been fitted on a bike, but I do not expect a sidewall split on a 40 quid tyre after only a few uses. As a side note I have used Pirelli PZero clinchers for a while and never had this issue.

Looks more like damage than a split, new tyre time.

Hardly used them! Just over 1 month old.

Happened to me a few years ago, ran over some debris that took a chunk out of the sidewall. barely a month old and all I could do was scrap it and buy a replacement, extremely annoying.

I've damaged tyres on the day of purchase, purchased in the morning, fitted in the afternoon, trashed by the end of the day. Unlucky night ride where I clipped a jagged rock and ripped a hole in the side wall. Stuff happens and you can only hope you get some life out of tyres before you have to replace them again and again.
