Hi, 2 part question,
I currently run 700 x 40c tyres on my hybrid, would I be able to run x42c and if so would I need to change the inner tube as well or will the current one fit fine?
What would be the max width I could run on the rims?
Thanks all

Tell us what bike it is and upload a picture of the rim ideally one where some markings are visible

The 42s will be about 2mm wider so if you currently have a few mm either side of the tyre at the fork (front) and chainstays/seatstays (rear) they'll be fine. No need to change the tube.
You can do the measurement and maths to determine how wide you can go.
