hi all,
just dug an old emmelle ladies 'townish' bike from a shed and need new tyres etc but can't read all the markings as they have perished - look like the following numbers but don't want to waste cash on wrong size.

35 32.2 700 35c

they are thin and have the presta valve (want the car type on the new ones)

any advice on side would be welcome.

thanks,

ian

700c 35mm tyres, quite common. If you want to use tubes with a schrader valve, check that the valve hole in the rim is big enough, not all rims are able to accept them. Presta valves are almost always used with high-pressure tyres though.

Which won't work, as the OP already has presta valves.

The tyre size in the OP is 35 622, rather than 32.2. Or as @MikeW-71 says, 700c x 35mm.
If the hole in the rim is not big enough to accept Schrader vales as the OP wishes to use then he will be able to use these in order to pump the tyres up with a car type pump although I do admit the picture and the description are at odds with each other (hadn't read the description, simply went on the Photo.)
As I read the post he does not want Presta type valves anymore.
