Need some advice re tyre choice

I want some tyres recommending for using on my full sus bike which would be suitable for trails (gisburn) that i tackle each sunday and the odd ten mile road run I do during week

I tried maxxis super tacky but they seriously slow u down

Any one recommend me s good quality tyre with width measurements please

Any help appreciated

I got some Schwalbe Marathon Cross tyres from Spa Cycles (£13 on special offer).
They have a reduced height tread in the middle so they roll easy on the road (25mph easily achievable), and raised tread on the sides for better grip off-road.
I tend to ride bridleways strung together with shortish road sections and these tyres are very well suited to this.
The tread clears very quickly when you get on the road.
They have handled most conditions well (sand / mud etc.) with the exception of really deep mud.

Just done a search, and it looks like they have been discontinued!
I hope not as they are great and when these wear out, I want some more.

Maxxis High Rollers are a good all round tyre .... just make sure you "DON'T" get the super tacky ones as thats where your problem is when your on the tarmac ...

I use the 60a's and ride Gisburn and the likes regular and also roll well on the roads ....

If you had a set of 700c road rims built up on MTB disc hubs you could in fact swap the 26" wheelset for the 700c for road rides.
