Tyre Choice & Advice Needed

Hey everyone,

So I just decided to get http://www.decathlon.co.uk/triban-5-road-bike-black-id_8239801.html# when it comes back in stock, and I thought I'd ask you a couple of questions which are on my mind.

1. I plan on travelling mainly on roads, but also down a few trails and down some canal toe paths, and I was wondering what tyre would be good to get for these surfaces.

I've heard that gatorskins would be a good choice, but after looking around it seems that they perhaps wouldn't be, so please give me your opinions on the matter

Tyres are a very personal thing Oliver, what one bod says is great. Another bod will say they cut up like bejesus. I know this is not very helpful but IMHO it's da truth. Sorry !!

It really depends on how "off road" you plan to go with your road bike?

Nothing wrong with a Gatorskin. You will be quite fine with a 25-28mm tyre. Continental, Michelin, etc. have good websites
for you to choose which model would suit you.
