A piece of glass has sliced a good size hole into a brand new tyre, rode it at 80psi for about 50 miles today with no problems but you can see the inner tube bulging part way out through the gash -obviously not a good idea. What's the best plan for keeping it inside where it should be, some sort of boot or can I try gluing the inside of the tyre?

Cheers

Ideally, cut a section out of an old tyre (remove the wire beading) and place on the inside of the gash.

Ok, how large would you make the boot relative to the hole?

New tyre!? Yeh gads they've only just gone on. I know what you mean though, potential for major failure.

maybe warente issue? go back to store you got them from?

More to do with the perfectly shaped piece of glass and going right through on the weird 'fin' of tread. Can't see the shop listening.

I've used a Tyre Repair Patch on a brand new Michelin Krylion - slashed less than 2 miles old, thanks to flytippers. That was 2 years ago.
Similar size cut to the one you've shown. Though, for peace of mind I use a tyre liner as well

Do you think it would be worth emailing the online shop to see if there would be any chance of a replacement?

Doesn't look like the tube is visible to me (unless it's nearly flat), just the tyre carcass. Stick a tyre boot inside. The worst it can do is puncture.
