I'm interested to know you thoughts for my winter tyre:

ive narrowed it down to 2 choices from a previous thread

Michelin Krylion Carbon
or
Conti grand prix 4 season

i want grip in the wet and puncture resistance

Many thanks

I love my GP 4 Seasons. I use the 25mm ones all year round and in all weather.

Generally get 4500km out of a rear tyre before it wears enough for the punctures to begin. Up until then it takes something big and nasty to get a puncture (I picked up a large bit of flint the other day, first puncture I've ever got with GP 4 Seasons under 2000km).

Another option (not that you wanted one) is a Panaracer Stradius Elite TG. I've had one on the front for 12,000km so far without a problem. The sidewall protection isn't as good as GP 4 Seasons though.

Both work well in the wet.

thanks very much for your reply Greenbank. i'll make the mistake of looking at the Panaracer (which will most likely further cloud the issue) 12k Km on 1 tyre is an amazing advert though.

I use the Michelin Krylion Carbon and they tick all the boxes, plus you can get them colour coordinated as well.

After many hours searching i only found krylion red 23s at 40 quid each so i went for the gp4's instead. If im unhappy with them i know my choice for next time. either way will be better than the crap i have on right now. cant do a long ride without a flat >.<

Edit: thanks all for your help

Vittoria Rubino Pros or Specialised Armadillo All Condition in 23 or 25C
are my choice. I've seen some Michelin Lithions 25C at £11 a tyre which seem a bargain. Anyone used these?
