Whilst out & about this afternoon, primarily a circuitous route to where we'd booked in for dinner, we passed this in Thirsk
I spotted it too late to pull, up, so it necessitated a '360' at the roundabout where we were subsequently to pull off onto the A170 towards Sutton Bank

I knew the company was in Thirsk. but thought it was on one of the industrial estates

Stuff the newish Defenders to the other side of the buildings, even the pre-2016 models

If I were to ever buy a Range Rover that first incarnation would be the one I’d go for.
I remember when they first came out they were all the rage with the upper class twits who would take a hack saw to the raised applied name on the tailgate and remove the necessary bits so it read ‘HANG OVER’ .

Keith Gott, an ex-military vehicle dealer somewhere 'darn saarf', went one better
'Strange Rover'

Scanned/saved from a late 70s/early 80's copy of 'Hot Car'

Without over-thinking it, or looking to see if I still have the magazine, in my 'archives', it was rear engined, with the axles 'flipped' over so as not to have 4 reverse gears!

I used to have a TR7 that colour, but not with those modifications or the 3.5L engine!

Mate of mine has had these, he reckons he spends more time under it than in it. He loves the spannering. I couldn't be bothered.
