Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;

The 'old' bikes were hung in the garage with care,

In hopes that St. Bianchi soon would be there;);)

:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::;):becool::biggrin:

It's here!!!

...even came fitted with reflectors, wheel reflectors and wait for it...a handlebar bell!!:becool:

I can tride it yet though 'cos I still cant get the dam pedals off the Galaxy:blush:

I have removed the reflectors and the bell can go on the galaxy for those 'german' trips. What about that plastic ring between the rear cogs and the spokes what is that all about?

Lovely bike!

What do you mean you don't have any pedals for it?

Were you not prepared for the big day?

You obviously don't love your Bianchi enough, so I'll be around shortly to take her off your hands (Don't worry I'll supply my own pedals) :evil:

..I was going to simply swap the pedals from my galaxy over until i had enough to buy some new road shoes and look pedals, only I can tget the pedals off the galaxy for love nor money. I will take that plastic thing off , what is it anyway?

I had to laugh at the handlebar bell it was fitted with...I suppose it's a the law or something right?

....wot a lucky old bugger i am! Yeahah!!!

The plastic ring behind the cassette is there to protect your spokes if the chain drops of the end of the cassette. I haven't seen one in years, I thought that with all the technical advances in transmission parts they had become obsolete. We used to use them in the days of 5 speed blocks and friction shifters. they got very dirty and unsightly very quick but were better than a chain jammed behind the block and breaking spokes trying to get the chain out.

Ya lucky bugga, BTFB! :biggrin:
You need to remove the cassette to take the plastic disk off. Haven't got around to doing mine yet. Do you think the LBS would do it for me as part of its first (free) service?
