I know of the Tacx T1680 Flow and others in the Tacx Ergo range which have a computer, but does anyone know of any others?

And I don't mean one with a normal bike computer, I need one that shows the actual watts / power output.

Cheers, Gordon.

The Elite Superchrono in Digital (wireless) variants do this as does the CycleOps Powerbeam Pro & the Lemond Revolution has a bolt on option as well. Actually most manufactures that make turbos have models that give that kind of output & any ergo trainer will be able to give that too, though you are looking at the higher end products which cost.

Another option is a powertap hub or power meter cranks, yes they're more expensive but much more versatile, especially the cranks.

Thanks for the great response, will have a look at those other turbo trainers, get a nice big list and compare them all in detail.

Cost isn't too much of an issue, well it is!, but it's for my fitness testing service, so getting the right features is the most important factor.

As currently my clients need to have their own treadmill/exercise bike to perform the testing which is obviously quite a limiting factor in my service.

Then you might find the Lemond Revolution option not so good. It's unique in that you remove the rear wheel & clamp the bike onto a hub built into the trainer. The hub obviously has a freewheel & cassette, that means changing the cassette carrier between Campag & Shimano/SRAM road for people & even in the SRAM/Shimano camp you'll have to swap cassettes over depending on what your client has.

Yeah that one didn't look ideal for what I need, although did have some good features.

Can't believe the huge difference in prices for ones with computers, between £250 and over £1000!!!
