Turbo Trainers - Advice

Hoping to buy my dad a turbo trainer for Christmas, but wanting to get something that he can link up to the telly/PC to do rides against.

I have zero experience of turbo trainers so looking for some advice.

If you have deep pockets (which you will need if you are set on the VR route) then you can't beat TACX systems. I have been using a Fortius for a couple of years and their new Blu Ray discs are about as good as it gets.
